this morning
I got up – got dressed
and left
I should have taken a moment
to review my outfit
but I didn’t
and my socks don’t match my shirt at all
I believe they clash
I’m going to accept this and move on
in other news
the zipper on my most favorite boots
broke
so I will get them fixed
but it makes me sad
sigh
stupid zipper
in other news
I love earl gray tea
and this was a quick blog
back to work for me!

I have lit a candle in honor of the terrible zipper and sock trauma. Unhappily it set the house on fire, spread to the river and eventually the entire Lawrence forest was ablaze but no problem, I have tweeted my many followers to light candles where ever they are in the world in your cause. Unless they are in Chicago.

This blog made me so homesick for you girl. It hit my buttons. I am glad you love tea. It is hard for me to dress with no one to check my colors. I am sorry your zipper broke. Good luck.

When I was in high school, I always had my mother take a look before I left home in the morning, just to make sure I was wearing all the articles of clothing necessary to be socially acceptable. Because I was really bored by such things and did not pay enough attention.
You can always color your socks with a black sharpie. Black goes with everything.
To continue with the Chicago theme initiated by your Mom, zippers were first introduced to the world at the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago. Put that in your trivia cosy, to be pulled out and pondered while you sip your Earl Grey.
